Many ski clubs choose Neveplast for summer training

The Romand de ski and many other ski clubs from all over the Europe choose Neveplast for summer ski training

The Romand de ski club that brings together the ski clubs of the Swiss cantons Vaud, Geneva and Friborg has chosen the Neveplast slope in Selvino to train during the summer.

A choice that was shared by many other teams from various parts of Italy and Europe who, faced with the impossibility of training on the glacier, found a valid alternative on the Neveplast slope, recently renovated with the new NP30 FREESKI product.

Climate change and glacier retreat

Tropical temperatures, freezing temperatures above 4000 meters, no precipitation. In the face of this dramatic climatic situation, starting from July all the glaciers and the places where it was possible to ski were forced to close.

Even the champions of the World Cup teams and the kids of the ski clubs have been forced to stop training and internships on the glacier.  Many athletes have chosen the Neveplast dry ski slope  that allows, skis on, with normal equipment to train on a surface that is very similar to natural snow.

Theophile Cuche, trainer and president Ski Romand.

For us it is the first time on Neveplast.
The feedback has certainly been positive.  Here  you can work on many technical aspects such as cornering and even handling. Is a pity that the slope is a bit short, if it were a few hundred meters longer it would be perfect and I’m sure that the World Cup athletes would also come to train here “

Marco Ghilardi at the head of Selvino Sport.
This has been a very satisfying summer for us and I am not speaking only from an economic point of view. As a coach and a person who has dedicated his life to skiing, observing how many ski clubs from all over Italy and abroad we have been able to carry out summer training sessions on our slope made me really happy.
I thank all the ski clubs that have come to us and I renew the invitation for autumn training. Many have already confirmed.
