March 2015, Buenos Aires (Argentina)

Skiing within the city and in midsummer? Buenos Aires inhabitants will certainly have wondered whether this was a mirage or not. But Neveplast is now accustomed to this kind of high-impact installations that bring a little bit of mountain into the city. Right in the heart of Buenos Aires Neveplast has installed a learning ski center that is designed for children and adults to learn to ski or snowboard. It has a length of 30 meters and a width of 10 meters. It was set up on the occasion of “Generación Deportiva Buones Aires 2018” event, sponsored by the City and the Argentine Olympic Committee with the aim to promote winter sports and to discover potential future talents, in view of the “Youth Olympic Games” that will be held in Argentina in 2018. The Neveplast learning center was literally invaded by skiers and snowboarders on the opening days. This is a part of the “Urban Skiing” movement of which Neveplast, leader in the field of artificial ski slope has been promoting for years. Neveplast understands the importance of creating facilities in the city, to promote skiing in a way to get more skiers up to the mountains.
