The mountain in the city: all skiing on the walls of Treviso, near Venice, with Neveplast.

In the centennial year since its founding, the UOEI Treviso ASD association organized the event “The mountain in the city. Skiing on the walls”.

On the walls of Treviso, a beautiful little town near Venice,  a great number of people skied on a slope for alpine skiing and one for cross-country skiing, both signed Neveplast.

The event is included in the calendar of the European Week Of Sport 2022 (EWOS), the ‘initiative of the European Commission that promotes activities that through sport promote inclusion and the physical and mental well-being of families.

“2022 is a very important year for our association, which this year celebrates 100 years since its founding.  A centenary steeped in passion and dedication for skiing in which UOEI ASD has tried to divulge its values in an innovative and unconventional way,” says Cinzia Bonetto president UOEI Treviso ASD.

Thanks to the collaboration with Neveplast, a company from Bergamo that specializes in the production of synthetic ski slopes, on October 1 and 2, children and families from Treviso and all tourists had the opportunity to ski, on the walls of Treviso, even without snow, on a Neveplast ski slope that simulates skiing on natural snow to the limit of reality.

This year, in addition to the ski slope for downhill skiing and snowboarding, there was also  a ring for those who want to practice cross-country skiing.

Urban Skiing. From the city to the mountains.

“With Neveplast we share the potential of ‘Urban Skiing,’ or skiing in the city as a strategy to make skiing more accessible and to bring more and more enthusiasts to the mountains.

During the weekend of October 1-2, families had the opportunity to try skiing at no cost, with ‘equipment provided by us and with the’ help of our instructors available to teach the technique of skiing to all those who wanted to try. All this in a more than evocative city context.

October in Treviso is then the month of the child. Our initiative is also in line with this theme that is close to all of our hearts.
 

Sports, skiing in particular, is an extraordinary driver of healthy values and positive principles. Skiing represents a unique experience in the lives of growing children. It trains fun, socialization and sacrifice, and all children should have the opportunity to learn to ski.
We have been trying for many years and now thanks also to the technology and creativity of Neveplast we can do it in the city, at home, even without snow.” concludes Cinzia Bonetto.
