Celebrating thrills at 3 Zinnen family parks: new Neveplast TUBING and SKLIDE at Monte Baranci, South Tyrol

Among the many fun projects we have carried out in the summer of 2023, we are particularly proud of the TUBING and SKLIDE projects in the 3 Zinnen area on Monte Baranci in South Tyrol. Proud because we have contributed to making an already attractive area even more appealing – a region that, due to the beauty of its landscape, its UNESCO natural heritage, and the numerous activities it offers, is the ultimate family-friendly mountain destination. But that’s not all. Our connection with Monte Baranci Park goes back a long way, as it was here that we built one of our very first tubing runs in the early 2000s.

This year, the 3 Zinnen lifts company contacted us for another ambitious challenge: to revitalize and restructure the park on Monte Baranci with attractions that would reflect the station’s new identity and meet the visitors’ expectations. The result was a brand-new, state-of-the-art tubing track, measuring 72 meters in length, featuring two parabolic curves and equipped with the latest updates. Additionally, the SKLIDE was introduced, featuring three parallel tracks for head-to-head challenges for the young riders aboard the colorful SKLIDE bobs. Both attractions are serviced by a convenient conveyor belt for uphill transport, provided by Sunkid.

“In our 25 years of operation, I’ve had the opportunity to travel and visit numerous mountain destinations, and I must say that the landscape of Monte Baranci is one of the most spectacular in the world, also recognized by UNESCO. However, breathtaking natural views alone are no longer enough to drive tourism in the mountains, especially during the summer season. Vision is needed, along with a variety of services and entertainment offerings to cater to a broader audience.

The management of the 3Zinnen area has done an exceptional job transforming their mountain into a family paradise, even in times when seasonal diversification was not widely discussed. We are tremendously proud to have contributed with our TUBING and SKLIDE tracks to further delight the children and families visiting Monte Baranci Park. It was here, back in 2003, that we installed one of our very first Tubing tracks, and I must admit, there’s a sense of inspiration in collaborating on another fun project two decades later!”

The area of Monte Baranci, overlooking and guarding the enchanting village of San Candido in the Upper Puster Valley, is a true mountain paradise, offering opportunities for play and relaxation at every corner for both young and old. To reach it, you can take an easy hiking trail or hop on the chairlift that, in just a few minutes, takes you to an altitude of 1493 meters. Once you’re at the top, Monte Baranci unfolds into an enchanted world for children. It’s right here, starting from this summer, that alongside the gnome village, the marble track, the bouncing area, and the giant’s big water-filled footsteps, families can challenge each other to exhilarating descents in complete safety on the TUBING and SKLIDE tracks, proudly presented by Neveplast.
