A hotel featuring a Neveplast ski slope, an ice rink and a soccer field on the interactive roof: it is the visionary project of the brand new Falkensteiner Family Resort Lido in South Tyrol which reopened on November 2021 after a futuristic restyling which makes it unique in the world.
What’s better than a rooftop swimming pool? A year-round operational ski slope on the roof of a hotel.
The Neveplast ski slopes on the interactive roof “Rooftop Sky Adventure Park” is the flagship of the new Falkensteiner Family Resort Lido, 4-star Superior structure located in Casteldarne, only 25 km from the Kronplatz ski area.

The hotel reopened following a complete renovation characterized by a breathtaking architecture and a new dimension of tourist hospitality. On top of the Neveplast ski slopes, the “Rooftop Sky Adventure Park” features a Valo Jump area, a Bobby car track and other activities including a jogging path. Sports entertainment is ensured for the guests of the Falkensteiner Lido: the family hotel is bound to become a trend setter in the tourism sector thanks to its offer in terms of sportive and leisure experiences.

The ski slope in Neveplast material unfolds on the roof of the new high Falkensteiner to the base of the structure for a length of 150 meters with a total skiable extension of about 1400 m2.
The ascent is ensured by two conveyor belts positioned along the sides of the slope and by an elevator, which brings the skiers directly to the top of the new structure after a short connection walk.

Precisely because of its configuration, the Neveplast ski slope is suitable for skiers of all levels of ability, from beginners who have never skied or snowboarded before to more experienced tourists.

They will get the chance to ski and snowboard without moving from the hotel, during both summer and winter.
For guests who prefer not to travel with their own ski equipment, the hotel offers the possibility to rent ski gear at any time directly on location thanks to the brand-new Market/Dalbello/Volkl mono-brand rental for alpine skiing.
The ski school inside the hotel offers all of the essential services for a perfect winter and summer holiday on the snow, well…actually on Neveplast!

For the Casteldarne project as for Copenhill, a tailored product was studied and Neveplast eventually provided a surface colored in different shades of green. Being sustainability the key element of Falkensteiner’s organizational model, the ultimate objective of the holding was to set up a slope which was as similar as possible to a natural lawn. A challenge that the Bergamo-based company accepted enthusiastically being very committed to sustainability and environmental preservation.

Protecting the nature, reducing the pollution and promoting a more eco-friendly development are inspirational principles for Neveplast.
All Neveplast products in fact are made out of a special eco-friendly plastic which in completely regenerable and has obtained the positive certification for environmental impact as it does not contain harmful substances. Additionally, Neveplast’s slopes do not require electricity and water to function.
